Formed in March 2002, Severcord is the result of four musicians from four of The Norths finest rock bands, Binary, Vigilantia, Headshot & Godkillsamerica. All four of these bands had strong followings and played Gigs all over the UK, venues like Bradford Rios, Camden Underworld, Manchester Hop & Grape And a Festival in Belgium to name but a few, but that’s History.

Severcord is a New chapter, a band becoming something more than the norm, like the Deftones, Audioslave, Hundred Reasons and Finch, Severcord are fuelled by emotion, a desire to captivate through the power of their music, their true strength lies in their dedication to the art of writing songs, without boundaries or limits. As the months passed, their set-list grew, as did their reputation for giving memorable & intense live performances.

With two successful EP’s under their belt ( 2002’s ‘Stand’ & 2003’s ‘Kinetica ), a Promotion night at their hometowns biggest Rock Club, praise for their music worldwide on the internet & Number 1 chart positions at Soundclick.com ( a website for the worlds unsigned talent to make their name ), Glasswerk Manchester and a Track on 'Pressure, Extreme Paintball DVD', the band have started as they mean to go on, never looking back, only moving forward, shifting up a gear with every step.

After a string of live dates in winter 2003, Severcord returned to West Orange Studios with producer Alan Gregson in November to record their third e.p. 'Mortality'. To the uninitiated, this will offer an impressive introduction to the band, to everyone who knows their music, you aint heard nothing yet... this is severcord at a new level, a band always evolving, never predictable.
